What If I...

What if I were somebody important,
Making big decisions onto big ideas.
What if I had the will to exceed in life,
Better than how I let myself be treated.
I could solve the world's problems.
I could save every dime.
I could save a race of humans,
Within one blink for each eye.
I could be a master of sciences.
I could be a general of militias.
I could be a saxophone player,
I could be head chef in a kitchen.
But I am none of those things,
I won't even try.
I'm just too picky,
And get bored very fast, every time.
I have no motivation,
I've lost the reason to groove.
Someone should push me,
But it's me who won't move.
I've let myself be satisfied with what I have.
The time I'll waste will be gone.
Tomorrow is a new day,
I can't stop singing yesterday's song.
I'm compelled to speak my mind,
Yet I have shut my mouth.
The last time was an outrage they said.
I didn't want to punish the crowd.
I don't know where to move from this feeling.
I'm sure one day I'll find
The reason to be again.
This I know is truth.
Just when will the time, be time.

Time and Change

I have seen the days go back and forth.
Yesterday became forever ago.
Today will become never more.
I wonder why time flies the way it does.
Yesterday I was doing so much.
Today I'm forced to do more than needed.
That struggle compiles on top of one another after the other.
The times change, and so does the mood.
My heart says to stay steady and to keep my ground.
The clock says to hurry it up, before all that time all lost.
I have paced up my work,
I have shortened my desire.
Tomorrow I think I will break free from those chains.
Let them rot in that old fire.
To reignite my life,
I will do more than I could imagine.
I will prepare myself for the worst,
But expect that sort of thing to not happen.
I won't wait for an opportunity,
But instead I will create one.
In doing so,
I will pass on my deeds to others,
I could use some help,
And maybe others might need some.
I don't need to live by the rules,
But I don't need to break so many.
I feel insecure at times,
But today I am ready.
I am ready.

Changes - Possible or Impossible?

Whoever said change is impossible is ridiculous.
This one goes out to those who have been blinded by the past and are haunted by it.
Changing a person is impossible, most definitely. Unless of course they work for you as a model, not definitely.
But if you have someone in your life who has either moved onto a different path or is going their separate way no matter how hard it is, you can't change the history you had or the future you might not have.

We can't change another person ever. Even if you did, it's wrong.
Think about your worst fight with a significant other. They have done you wrong, but in their eyes they're still figuring themselves out. As much as you want to change what events have occurred between the two of you, it happened for you to move on, not stick around and say "It's OK, it's OK. I understand why." Big N-O. Because it's not OK.

Maybe you're the person doing the damage. If this is you, well you know how it works. You got to want to change yourself, and you know it'll happen when it's meant. It sure will happen. If it hasn't yet, you're not fully grown to your maturity. If you're 35 years old cheating and lying to your spouse, there is most definitely a problem. A problem the other person can't fix or couldn't change about the other person before their vows.

KNOW who you are dealing with.

You can't change the way someone makes you feel, and vice-versa.
You can't change how someone acts towards you, but you can change the way you act towards someone else. The problem today is control.
Control is knowing you feel dominant or liberal. You don't want to stop the chasing, the fun, and the excitement. If you're in the position to say you're not enjoying that already, maybe you could have been if you had made an effort to have some without someone controlling it for you.
BE THE CONTROLLER.

You may not be able to change who you are, you're personality, or your urges; but what you can do is control your future and your actions. Saying NO to what you know is right for you and for anyone depending on you. Saying YES at the right time to things that might not lead anywhere today, but have a potential gain later on.

You gotta give a little, to get a little.
That is the way the world works.
Everyone wants freebies, everyone wants to play this game of life with you.
Don't try to say to yourself you never have. If you truly haven't, after this you will.
However, there's positive to being used. Your feelings at the moment might be immature, weak, and vulnerable; but the possibilities of being down can only mean the complete opposite later on. Your time will come, and you'll remember who treated you like a person and not a tool. They will wash your hands after you washing theirs. You will wash the hands that washed yours someday as well.

Be alert. The best way to avoid these bad changes is to change your steps into what you know you have faced by looking into the past.

Everyday is a new day, but the occurrences that happen might surprise you. Call it Karma?
Either look away, turn around, or whatever it takes for you to give the red for the bad, and the green for the good.

And that's Real Talk.
